Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 15, 2026

At Sqync, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our calendar synchronization service.

Data We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we store:

  • Your name and email address (provided by Google or Microsoft during sign-in)
  • OAuth tokens required to access your calendars on your behalf
  • Your calendar connection preferences and sync settings

Calendar Data

Sqync reads your calendar event data to perform synchronization. This includes event times, titles, descriptions, and other event details. However, we do not store any of your event content. Event data is processed in real-time to create "Busy" blocks on your other calendars, then immediately discarded.

The only event-related data we persist are internal identifiers that allow us to track which "Busy" blocks correspond to which source events, enabling proper updates and deletions when your original events change.

How We Use Your Data

We use your information solely to provide the Sqync service:

  • To authenticate you with Google and Microsoft calendar services
  • To read events from your source calendars
  • To create, update, and delete "Busy" blocks on your target calendars
  • To maintain webhook subscriptions for real-time sync
  • To send you important service-related communications

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

  • All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections
  • OAuth tokens are stored securely and encrypted at rest
  • We use secure authentication flows provided by Google and Microsoft
  • Access to production systems is strictly limited and monitored

Third-Party Services

Sqync integrates with the following third-party services to provide calendar synchronization:

Data Retention

We retain your account information and OAuth tokens for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove all associated data, including OAuth tokens and sync mappings, within 30 days.

Calendar event content is never stored permanently. It is processed in memory during synchronization and immediately discarded.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Delete your account and all associated data
  • Revoke calendar access at any time through Google or Microsoft account settings
  • Export your data upon request

Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and remember your authentication state. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics that track your behavior across other websites.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
